Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at a low-income/high poverty Title I school in Greenville, South Carolina. The majority of my students are Hispanic Americans. My students face many challenges both in and out of the classroom daily. The challenges they face never stop my students from coming to school excited and happy to learn each day. I am looking to empower my students to grow educationally and socially. I believe that ALL kids can learn and deserve the very best materials in order to be able to do that!
My Project
Having a great classroom library is one of the best things about a classroom. I have worked hard over the years to build mine up and make it great for my students. A lot of that is because of donors like you! I am reaching out one more time to help my classroom library get organized. The book bins in this project will be used to organize the books in our classroom library. They will be instrumental in helping the gain an understanding of the different genres in our library, the different books we have, and show them how organization is key to learning. The bins will also open up the classroom library and allow the students to discover their next epic read.
"Having a clear mind and a clear space allows you to think and act with purpose." - Unknown.
Help clear the space for my students so their minds will be clear to learn!
