Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district. Despite the many challenges my students face, they look forward to coming to a ​school where I provide creative and meaningful experiences.

My students come in with smiles and are excited to know what the daily plans are, which are memorable to them.

As I prepare my first-grade​ students for college and careers, I also remind them that learning can be fun. My students excel even though​ the odds are against them with all the challenges they face at home and at school.

My Project

The MacBook Air Laptop will be a tremendous addition of technology to my classroom. This laptop will allow the students to access the internet to complete tasks, assignments, and online educational programs. The MacBook Air will also allow students to access various media forms, news articles, and videos to support their understanding of topics.

My main focus for the use of the laptop will be to teach the children how to use technology, applications, and the internet to further their understanding about careers available to them while fostering knowledge of being able to correctly use technology within the school and job environment.

My first graders love to do research and discover new information to report about. With this addition of technology, my students will have the world at their fingertips.
