My Students

Student obesity is a problem facing schools across the United States. I know I can help my students stay fit throughout the school year by getting them up and moving!

My students attend a small, rural school.

It is located in a high poverty area. Most students receive free and reduced lunch. Therefore, many students do not get to experience any "extras" when they go home! Having a Wii in our classroom will allow them to experience a piece of technology that may not be available to them otherwise!

My Project

When I look into the eyes of my students sometimes they come to school very sleepy. As the day goes on, the yawns begin! Heads begin to creep closer to their desks. Fatigue sets in! This is when, with your help, our classroom can come alive! I can get out our Wii and students will jump up to participate! I can put the Wii Fit or Just Dance on! Students will get a workout while having fun! Increasing their heart rate at least once a day will help them live a healthier lifestyle!

Please help us purchase a Wii for our classroom!

Students will surely enjoy taking a break once a day! They will have so much fun that they won't even realize they are staying fit in the process!
