My children are so excited to be in school for the first time, and I love teaching them how to be good students. We are learning together how to focus our attention, control our bodies, and show what we know.
My class has 3-5-year-old children with developmental delays and typically developing peers, and many of them are English Language Learners.
They love creative play, art, and dancing to music videos! These kids are so deserving of your support!
My Project
Our early childhood students have a 30-minute recess, and they often get bored with the playground equipment and don't know what to do next. Then there are our sub-freezing midwest winters when we can't go outside for weeks at a time.
Research has shown that recess and movement are crucial to a child's ability to learn, and these sensory activities will help meet that need.
These exciting and engaging indoor and outdoor activities will help us balance, jump, tiptoe, and wiggle our way to success! They will also help with social skills like waiting, taking turns, and sharing materials. We can't wait to get moving!
