My students need a magnetic white board to be able to interact with the magnetic resources I have available, especially in math.
This project expired on August 28, 2014.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I teach 3rd grade in a small school district. My goal by the end of the year is to develop students who can think for themselves and be great leaders with excellent character. I always tell my students, "If you can't make a mistake, you can't make anything!" I just want them to be successful.
My students are between the ages of 8 and 10.
They are full of energy and love to learn new things. Our school promotes good character and positive thinking. I feel like my students are excellent examples of this. They are exceptional thinkers, but they would benefit from using magnetic resources to ensure they have grasped the concept being taught.
If my class receives the magnetic white board, my students will have access to resources that will help them in math. Magnetic fraction pieces and basic shapes will allow the students to move the pieces around more easily, as well as give them the hands-on experience they need. It will also help my tactile learners as well as my visual learners. Being able to physically touch helps the learning process and allows the student to retain more information.
By funding this project it will allow my students to have another resource available to them to enhance their learning styles.
It will also add another level of fun to their educational journey as well as a learning experience that will have a lasting impact.
