Let's Get it Together! Organization and Neatness are a Must!
My students need ClosetMaid 1574 Cubeicals Organizers and Sodynee Foldable Cloth Storage Cube Basket Bins Organizer Containers Drawers to ensure organization of supplies in our classroom.
My second graders are pretty wonderful! These 7 and 8 year old students have seen more in the past year than any one should ever see, and they haven't missed a beat!
Our area was hit hard by the torrential rains of Hurricane Harvey.
Our corner of Texas received approximately 50 inches of rain in about 48 hours which hit our little community hard! A great majority of my students were effected in some way. Some witnessed water rising to over 5 feet in their home, some have been living with other family members or have had families in their home if lucky enough to not received any water, but we were all effect at school.
Our beautiful elementary school was flooded by the Harvey. We have housed elementary students in our junior high, and our 5th through 8th grade have been moved into our high school. Any empty space prior to Hurricane Harvey is now a classroom.
My Project
Organization plays a major roll in a successful classroom. Everything must have its place. Unfortunately the floodwaters of Hurricane Harvey ruined all of our classroom's shelving, so it had to be removed. The shelves and storage cubes I have requested will be used to organize student supplies, center activities, educational games, and teacher textbooks and supplies.
The Sterilite clip storage boxes will house each child's creative writing activities and seasonal artwork from throughout the year.
Each child will leave for the summer with their second grade memories securely tucked away in their own storage box for extra protection enabling them to share these memories with their family.
