My students need math manipulatives, storage, and a comfy place to learn. Kids learn by doing, so these tools would be perfect for teaching and reinforcing math and literacy concepts.
My students absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. I try to incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The large carpet will be placed in the front of the classroom and used as a gathering place during mini-lessons and share time. The geometric shapes will be used by the students, to provide a hands-on way in which to explore and learn. The bins will be used as personal book bins for students to store their independent reading books and notebooks. The grammar bingo games will be used by students to help reinforce skills they have already learned.
