My students need posters and learning materials of various health topics, including visuals such as informational posters about nutrition and the body's systems.
In my health class I like to do active learning. Having colorful and informative posters and materials about nutrition and other health topics will create a fun learning environment. I can implement the information from the posters into my curriculum. They can be visual reminders for students.
I have students who are taking health for their first time.
We are a small Title I Charter school with a high number of ELL students. Because they choose to come to this school, they are very motivated to learn. The things that I cover in my Health class are important facts that will help them make healthy choices in all areas of their lives. I want to educate my students about all the areas of health so that they can make good choices now and in the future and reach their full potential. I like to have fun and active classes that give them information about real-life situations so they will be prepared make wise and informed choices, whatever their situation may be.
My Project
I will use the resources to create assignments based on the information in the posters. These will become visual reminders of what we have learned and be used as review source. I can include them into lesson plans and activities that are about that topic. The students will learn how to read food labels and the nutritional value of different foods. This will help them become proactive in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
As a first year teacher I am in great need of supplies for my classroom.
I need several learning supplies and materials, especially visuals. I will use all of these supplies to demonstrate to the students the value of educating yourself about nutrition and different aspects of healthy living.
