Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students need tissues, soap and paper towels for their bathroom at school, since it is usually out of necessary supplies.
I currently teach 27 very sweet first graders in a Title I school located in a high poverty and high crime area in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
All of my students receive free breakfast and free lunch. Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken.
My Project
I would love if the first grade boys and girls bathroom had supplies. My students often return from the bathroom and report back to me that the bathroom was out of toilet paper, soap and paper towels. I always like to have back up materials for them to use in case of a bathroom emergency. I think that it would be especially nice if they had nice quality supplies such as Charmin tissue, Bounty paper towels and nice smelling soaps. We need these materials in order to stay happy and healthy.
