C-12 students are enthusiastic learners that want to gain as much as possible despite things that go on outside of school.
More than 60% of my students receive free and reduced-price lunch, access breakfast at school, participate in our local FoodLink program and most come from single parent homes.
My students come to school eager to learn each and every day. We focus on being lifelong learners as well as leaders. Each day we focus on making progress- mistakes are proof that you are trying!
My Project
My classroom already has a few flexible seating options for students to access throughout the day; however with a class size around 25 each year I'd love to be able to offer more seating choices for students. Flexible seating also allows movement within the classroom and helps individual students make choices that are best for them and their learning.
Flexible seating allows my students to take ownership of their learning by selecting the option that will allow them to do their best learning within our classroom.
4 wobble cushions and 4 throw pillows will allow an additional 8 options for students to work within the classroom. The 4 wobble cushions will be used with current classroom seats, while the floor pillows will be used when we work throughout the room doing partner work or independent reading.
