This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the TOSA at a Title I school and I have been given the task of creating an innovative learning space that will allow our joyful and energetic students to collaborate, communicate, and engage in critical thinking! The students at my site each possess exceptional learning styles and needs and require a learning space that elevates engagement for all students.

My students deserve a personalized learning space that provides multiple seating options to choose the best learning experience for themselves.

My Project

With flexible seating, my students will be able to shape their own work space. A flexible learning environment will promote higher levels of student-to-student collaboration and connection. This will increase engagement and generate higher achievement outcomes for the students.

Students learn better when they can work together!

Traditional desks in rows isolates students. Flexible seating, such as wobble chairs, allows students to easily pair up or work in small groups.

The seats I chose are light weight and can be easily moved from place to place around the room. They will give my students additional choices to make effective learning choices based on their learning needs.
