My students need balance chairs and bouncy bands that will help them learn and move!

Hooray! This project is fully funded
Our school serves students in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth grade and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers, and a safe learning environment.
My students are from an inner city school and are from low-income families.
Our school has a poverty rate of over 96 percent.
The opportunity and achievement gaps are apparent among our student population. Teachers are expected to deliver excellent instruction in science, math, English, and social studies without the requisite tools to teach our students. We aim high to achieve success!
My kindergartners are busy and growing children. Students need to be able to move to help foster learning. The bounce balls will allow students to bounce, while the legs providing safety and stability. The chair bands will allow the students that need constant movement while they work. Some of my students need the ability to bounce their feet and feel the tension to relieve their anxiety, hyperactivity, and/or frustration.
Children who jump, squat and move their bodies during math and ELA may learn more effectively than students in typical sedentary classrooms.
Studies show, students who move while learning, have a higher chance of absorbing more.
Having flexible seating in the classroom where children can bounce, rock and sit without the restriction of a chair back will maximize the amount of work that students are able to attend to.
