My students need cardio equipment to add to our fitness area. This helps provide more options to get fit.

My Students

HMS is a place where we truly value and promote the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. We want to provide students with the tools and equipment necessary to get fit and fight childhood obesity.

HMS is an inner city school where half of our population are free or reduced lunch.

The makeup of our students is very diverse, over 20 different languages are spoken here. We want each and every student to feel safe and comfortable while focusing on their health and well being.

My Project

At HMS we are committed to creating a school environment that values a fit and healthy lifestyle, starting from a young age. In order to inspire our students, faculty and parents we are creating a new workout room.

We want to incorporate different materials, equipment and machines to maximize this space.

We will also be adding weights, racks, speed bags, weighted bags, medicine balls, jump ropes, yoga mats and much more to complete this awesome fitness area.

This room will be available to all students and staff in the building. We plan to start before and after school fitness intramural to fully utilize this space.
