Technology has become the inspiration of learning for our students. I want to meet their needs and spark their desire to discover and learn with technology.
My students are eager to engage in learning mathematics using a variety of hands-on interactive tools and technology.
With students of diverse family backgrounds and cultures, the use of technology can help drive academic advancement in multiple ways. From experience, students learn math best by doing....rather than by memorizing.
My 150 math students collaborate daily in learning groups as they explore mathematical problems and develop reasoning skills that will continue to help them in their academic and professional careers. Technology will be the bridge that connects that gap between motivation and learning.
My Project
To ensure all students are college ready, the assistance of resources is necessary to succeed. These materials will provide that missing piece of motivation and inspiration vital to learning mathematics.
With the use of these materials, my students will be able to enhance their learning through STEM projects incorporated through various apps and online resources, such as Desmos, Google apps, and Khanacademy, that allow creativity, design, and comprehension.
The tablets provide a myriad of possibilities to keep students engaged with hands-on simulations rather than just memorization from a textbook.
As a teacher with limited resources, in order to provide my students with more opportunities to learn, I need to inspire a motivation for knowledge and that can come through technology!
