My 3, 4, and 5-year-old students are a part of a low-income educational program located in Wyoming County, PA. Our program gives them the opportunity to get a jump-start and develop a love of learning early on.
My students are full of curiosity and love to explore and learn through hands-on activities.
They are a motivated, thoughtful group and this year will be an adventure for all of us. We are back and forth between in-person and virtual this year. I want to make sure if we return to full virtual they have everything they need at home to help them succeed. My students make teaching a joy and are the reason I love my job!
My Project
There is a variety of materials in this project to help ensure my students can let their imaginations soar. From pom-poms to crafts sticks, the possibilities for what can be created are endless. When we are in school, my students are provided with a box of different materials to make whatever they want.
I am always encouraging my students to think outside the box and be unique.
By, giving them this variety of supplies they can still be encouraged to create at home. From stick houses to sequin rainbows, they are always surprising me with what they come up with. I can’t wait to see what they create next.
