My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! At our Public-Charter School, students choose to transfer here for the new technology and learning opportunities. Although we offer an innovative education, our population still reflects the diverse demographics of our community and we qualify as a Title I school. Our wide range of students includes students from racially, ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse families and communities of lower socioeconomic status.
Through art lessons my students explore their imaginations, hone their critical thinking skills, and practice creativity while learning how to better work together with others for a common goal.
They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find creative solutions! I’m grateful for the way students inspire me. Their own challenges, perspectives, and desires drive so much of their thoughts and actions. Their enthusiasm for life fills our classes with a verve and liveliness unfamiliar in most adult settings. I’m grateful for our relationships we build, for our memories we share, and for those moments when they finally “get it”! My Project
Ceramics is a fun and versatile media, but not all ceramic glazes are made equally. This class kit of glaze colors is great for capturing fine detail because this brand gives the artist a great degree of control. To make high quality artwork, students must start with high quality supplies.
Wonderglazes have a more dynamic color depth that is easily mixed without too much change in color during the ceramic glaze firing process, the addition of water can be used for blending, and delicate layering of multiple colors used to achieve gorgeous artistic results.
These provide fantastic blending and great colors. They feel great and are still relatively durable. A great set of colored glazes for upper level ceramics classes. Students will feel more successful, and confident in their artistic abilities when they have great materials!
