it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I have 24 ESOL Kindergarten students.
My students live in a low socioeconomic community. This is a Title 1 school. For most of my students, this is the first time they come to school. My students have the drive and eagerness to learn how to read and write. It is very important that my students enjoy learning when they come to school. I want to give my students the opportunity to come to my class and have fun learning with arts and crafts. It will give them an opportunity to express themselves through creativity and originality.
My Project
Our school curriculum does not give us the time to include art as part of the curriculum, therefore, by incorporating art into reading and math my students will be able to learn these fundamental skills in a creative atmosphere.
Help us be creative when presenting our ideas about what we read and draw. My students need craft supplies such as dry erase boards, dry erase markers, and bins to store all their art supplies. During writing workshop, my students can practice writing on the dry erase boards with the colorful dry erase markers to create stories and draw pictures to correlate with their writing. During center time, students are given the opportunity to express themselves through their writing and pictures. They are also able to share their writing and pictures with their classmates through collaborative conversation.
