My Students

My students are from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We have a great mix of people who have spent their whole life as "Yoopers" and folks who have moved here from all over the country. My students are caring, curious, and want to know more about the world beyond our rural and remote community.

My Project

My English, French, Debate, and Life Prep students use their Chromebooks every day. This means that if a student doesn't have a charger or a way to plug in their device, it slows down them, their teammates, and the class's overall momentum.

Charging throughout the day or having headphones with microphones when we are working on recording or listening projects are essential to the modern classroom.

These tools will help my students stay ready to learn at any moment for daily activities. In addition to using these tools for charging their Chromebooks, we will also be able to use them to connect our sewing machines, kitchen mixers, and other gadgets for our projects in Life Skills as well as French and English.
