Hello! I teach 5th grade at a high-poverty school in Middle Tennessee. My students come from many different backgrounds, we have a high ESL population, and many of our students are considered at-risk students. Our school is home to just over 400 students and is located in a small town south of Nashville.
Providing my students with a few flexible seating options has proved very beneficial, and I'd love to provide my students with a few more options.
I have found students work best when they are comfortable, whether it's in a desk or on the floor with a lap desk.
My Project
The ECR4Kids portable lap desks and cubby bins will allow my students to have seating options that help them learn the best. My students learn the best when they are comfortable and I would love to expand my seating choices. The lap desks will allow my students to choose a comfy spot in the room to complete classwork and partner work.
The cubby bins will allow my students to have a place to store their class supplies.
This will help keep students organized and hold all their needed items in one place. The bins will also be easy for students to carry around to different spots as needed. This will eliminate the need for students to have to keep items stored in a desk, therefore freeing up seating options.
