I am so blessed to work at the "best school in the land!" We are a Title 1 school located steps from the Atlantic Ocean! Our classroom theme "many types of fish swimming in the same school" fits us perfectly! I'm requesting a rug for us to gather and learn. Of course the rug matches our classroom theme! Carpet time is so important for kindergarteners. Here we listen to stories read aloud and share our thoughts and feelings. It's a great way to start each day!
Kindergarteners spend lots of time on the carpet listening to stories, learning, and sharing! This adorable Under the Sea Alphabet Activity carpet gives each child a defined space to learn and share, as well as opportunities to play alphabet games!
During Morning Meeting time on the carpet, students share their thoughts and stories, learn to take turns, and develop a sense of belonging to a community, while building confidence.
Other learning opportunities include independent and partner reading, interactive writing, phonemic awareness, and utilizing math manipulatives. Our rug will also provide space for exploration and creative play. A warm, comfortable rug will help foster a love of learning! Thank you for considering us!
