Help me give my students headphones, beads, games, ultimate fidget toys, gear sets and squishy set balls to be able to teach sensory exploration to help them examine and discover the world!
My students have autism. They learn very differently from any other children. They are highly visual and kinesthetic learners. They love to move and explore around the classroom. Learning for them has to be fun and engaging. Using textured materials, realia and manipulatives help them enjoy learning reading, writing as well as math.
My students love to learn.
They try their very best to be in school everyday. Their parents are our partners, without their help we would never be where we are at right now.
My students are integrated everyday with their non disabled peers and they are well respected and loved by our school community.
My Project
Most of my students with autism like to touch things, they like to grab things in the classroom, they will not sit until they have something in their hands. The fidget toys and stress balls I ordered will help them to fidget with something appropriately. The letter puzzles and numbers will help them learn basic academic skills to be able to meet their educational goals. The barn with animals will help them learn rules of play such as sharing and caring. The file folder games will keep them engaged while learning positional words, opposites, numbers, colors and more The ink cartridge will be used in my school printer (from donors choose) to create pictures to be able to continue working on communication and creating pictures for movement and exercise. With these materials, my students will have fun while learning and discovering! Partner with me in educating my students with autism!
