My Students

We come from a small, Title I, district where resources are limited but that does not stop the creativity of our students. Every student is a unique learner with unique needs. We are a small, close-knit, diverse community that works together to support our children.

My students love to learn!

They work well independently and in groups. They love a challenge and are not afraid to try anything! They are truly amazing kids. They always put forth a tremendous effort and show perseverance.

My Project

This year my classroom has moved to inclusion! This is an exciting change for us but brings many challenges when trying to meet the needs of all the children. My co-teachers and I decided to try flexible seating to help meet some of these needs. It is amazing! The kids are thriving in their environment.

However, we are spatially challenged when it comes to storing our materials.

We have no desk space and the students are missing a space of their own for their special materials. We have tried to fill the need with other furniture but it is not holding up. We are also short 2 ball chairs. The 2 Lakeshore Learning ball chairs will complete our set. This amazing Cubbie Tray Cabinet is a perfect fit for our materials and with 24 student in our classroom this year, the 25 cubbies is exactly what we need!
