Let's Find Out: Magazines to Support Non-Fiction Learning!
My students need individual copies of Scholastic's Let's Find Out magazine to expand their knowledge of age-appropriate and engaging science and social studies topics!
In a few weeks, I will have the privilege of welcoming a new class of kindergarten students to a year bound to be full of fun, learning and lots of growth! Kindergarteners are dynamic; their zest for learning and life motivates me to provide the most engaging educational experiences possible for them during each and every school day! These bright and busy boys and girls will each come to our classroom with different learning styles and will access a multitude of tools daily to support them in being the strongest and most successful learners they can be!
My Project
Reading is a favorite activity in my kindergarten classroom and I strive to provide high-quality and diverse texts for my students to access throughout our academic days together! Scholastic's Let's Find Out Magazine is a fantastic resource for blossoming readers to interact with important, age-appropriate and engaging science and social studies concepts while also practicing crucial early reading skills.
With your help, each of my students will receive a weekly magazine of his or her very own to read during the day.
Always seeking to provide student voice and choice in learning, these magazines will support me in that endeavor as they will be accessible for my students in many ways and at different times throughout the day. What's more -- the classroom magazine subscription comes with interactive digital features such as games and videos that can be used in whole group settings! The magazines will go home at the end of each week to be shared with families and for use as home reading material therefore connecting the home-to-school learning connection. I am excited to help broaden the learning horizons of my little learners and expand their knowledge of the world around them using this resource!
