My students need subscriptions to the "Let's Find Out" weekly magazine to build background knowledge and enrich our social studies and science curriculums.
This project expired on December 7, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
From our first day of kindergarten, my students and I form a community of friends who celebrate and support each other! Our classroom is our "home away from home". In this secure environment, my students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
My kindergartners are curious, enthusiastic learners!
They have many gifts to offer this world and they want to succeed in life. Many of them do not have access to learning resources or technology in their homes. They deserve the best Education possible; our classroom must have the tools that will ensure a variety of learning opportunities for my bright kindergartners!
My students are growing up in an area that does not have easy access to nature or wildlife. Many of my kindergartners haven't traveled across our country or to other parts of the world. I strive to provide resources which will give my students windows to the many wonderful things Earth provides.
The weekly magazine "Let's Find Out" offers information on a variety of nonfiction topics, written on the level of an early reader.
The magazine is filled with colorful photographs, rich vocabulary, and an easy reader booklet. The subscriptions also include access to the online components: video content, games, and songs.
After we complete the weekly learning, students are able to keep the magazine at home, to share with family members. This resource is especially helpful to my students and families who speak another language. Adding "Let's Find Out" subscriptions to our curriculum enriches my kindergartners' learning in literacy, science, and social studies. This resource is truly beneficial!
