While all of my students live in the same neighborhood, their backgrounds, home language, and cultures vary greatly. I set high expectations for my students and strive to give them quality experiences that they may not otherwise receive. Hands-on experiences are crucial for my students to deeply learn within the classroom.
My students are excited to learn in fun, engaging, student-centered ways.
My classroom is dedicated to not only teaching my students academics (letters, numbers, colors, shapes) but also incorporating social and life skills (solving disagreements calmly, taking turns, sharing their thinking with others).
My students are hard workers who love to learn about everything using a growth mindset. They add the word "yet" to the end of their sentences when they are faced with a road block. They always embrace the challenge that they need to try hard things in order to make their brains grow.
My Project
My students love to read many different kinds of texts! They love poems, favorite storybooks, fiction books, nonfiction books, and magazines. Let's Find Out magazines would be perfect for learning more about nonfiction topics throughout the school year.
We are learning to be Super Readers!
We are learning how to use our super reading powers every time that we read and how we can make our reading powers stronger. Our favorite power is picture power. We know that these magazines will show us a new kind of picture that we don't see all of the time-photographs.
When we go to our schools library, we aren't allowed to check out the magazines. Being able to read and take home a magazine would be awesome!
