This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Welcome to my kindergarten classroom of diverse learners! We are a "Not-Quite" Title I school, therefore extra instructional funds are not available. I think as a teacher, I should teach in the way students learn best. As educators, we have to continue to strive to provide students access to new and improved ways to reach their educational potential.
My students are active and love to learn new things.
I am always trying to think of new ways to teach that will keep them engaged. Learning is best when it is fun!
My Project
The "Lets Find Out" magazines offer 4 topics per month, aligned with state standards for science and social studies. Students read these magazines together, answer questions, and interact through online resources, including games and videos. The subscription also offers printables for the teacher, as well as lesson plan guides.
Each student will receive a copy of the magazines, which they can take home and share with their parents and family.
This helps make a home and school connection.
It is important for families to know what we are learning in school, and this magazine helps keep communication open! Students love to share what they learn in school!
