My Students

I teach a diverse group of students, who are eager to learn about the world around them. Informational text about real life people and events is an important part of learning. This type of reading material helps my students to stay engaged in current events and discover new interests. With new and current informational texts arriving at our classroom door every month, new and exciting adventures await! The sky is the limit for how for my students minds will grow!

My Project

We are requesting subscriptions to Scholastic News and Time for Kids. Providing my students with reading materials about current events will open their minds and help them learn more about the world beyond their front door. This informational text will help my students increase their reading comprehension skills and increase their critical thinking. My students will feel more engaged and connected to the world around them by staying informed about current events topics.

By reading these publications, my students will increase their vocabulary and be able to engage in real world discussions about real world events.

These stories will inspire my children to explore more and increase their knowledge about the topics that spark their curiosity.
