My Project
My class of second-grade students are caring and eager to learn. Our school, situated in Providence, Rhode Island, has culturally diverse students, Multilingual Learners, and students with special needs. I love watching students work collaboratively as they help each other learn. Every day is a wonderful adventure in second grade.
Students love improving math skills through cooperative math games, reading Scholastic News magazines on different science topics, and using manipulatives to explore and learn in all subjects.
The Teacher Pay Teachers Card will be used to purchase materials, games, and activities for our reading, math, and science centers. The laminating pouches and storage bins will be used to keep these new materials and activities in good condition as the laminating pouches are easily wiped to stay germ-free. The colorful dots will spark interest during center time as students practice and write on the dry-erase table.
