My 9th, 11th, and 12th grade science students have inquisitive minds...they want to understand how all the processes that occur around us work. They ask high level questions to gain a better understanding of concepts.
I have the privilege of working with students who are conscientious and put forth their best effort.
My students are intrinsically motivated and care to do well in school and in life. I know they can succeed at whatever they set their inquisitive minds to!
My Project
These exercise balls will allow students to sit in more comfort. Sitting on stability balls have several advantages as compared to sitting on a traditional chair. One advantage is that the students will build up their core strength since they will need to use their abdominal muscles to maintain their balance on the ball.
Due to the increase in stimulation of abdominal muscles, the students will also increase their posture.
Better posture means that the students can breathe better as the lungs can fully expand and get the needed amount of oxygen. This, in turn, will increase the students' concentration and thinking abilities.
The addition of exercise balls as an alternative to traditional chairs can provide an overall health benefit that the students can achieve without even realizing it!
