My students come from primarily immigrant households and often have their first exposure to MANY learning experiences within our school, from playing with LEGOS to a trip to the Bronx Zoo.
My children are bright, motivated and hardworking.
They enjoy new experiences and are active explorers who want to discover the world around them and make sense of it!
Our immediate community is disadvantaged and we have few resources. They often have difficulty accessing the opportunities that others take for granted.
Using LEGO in the progressive classroom will light a child's imagination up!
Give my students the chance to use LEGOs to create, model and engineer a variety of projects all while building fine motor/gross motor skills, critical thinking, problem-solving and social-emotional learning through collaboration.
We are a community of makers that encourages our youngest learners to participate in tinkering, hacking and modding things for new needs. Using LEGO will help students prototype, test and model their ideas. We will also use LEGO to help bring coding concepts to our youngest learners by helping them "build" their code sequentially.
Bring LEGO to my classroom and open up the world of creation, engineering, and imagination to my students!
