Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My athletes are challenged every day in the fact that they have come from a poor, rural area.
My athletes work very hard to make each other better off and on the court.
We average 20 athletes on the High School level and about 15 on the Junior High level. Since we are a small school we use equipment for both levels of teams. We train our athletes with the highest quality of fundamentals as well to be in the best shape possible. While winning is essentially what we are striving for, instilling integrity, success, determination and being a team is the ultimate goal.
My Project
My athletes are working very hard on their approaches and hitting 'on top' of the ball. This equipment will be used every day in practice to help with hitting.
The Volleyball Challenger will help them get more repetitions hitting the ball.
My team is also in need of more volleyballs. Our team is growing and the use of more balls is a must. I would love to be able to have a ball in each athletes hand.
The pre-positioned ball gives the athlete a 'perfect' set in order to hit the ball consistently. This is a great piece of equipment that will strengthen our team. The Volleyball Challenger will help my athletes with ball contact as well as foot training techniques and arm swing. It will ultimately make us a better/stronger hitting team!
