This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have the pleasure of teaching a diverse group of amazing students, who learn in various ways. My classroom is full of different learners and each one has a specific learning needs. My goal each day is to meet the academic, social, and physical needs of each student.
I teach in a Title 1 school where over 60 percent of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
This creates a great need for me to create an environment that provides differentiated instruction daily.
My students are curious and excited about learning and exploring their environment. I would like to equip them with tools they can use to learn in small groups. They are truly incredible, and I am so thankful for a group of learners who are excited and ready to learn each year!
My Project
I am asking for a variety of math and phonemic awareness resources. These resources will help to provide hands-on activities for my students. They really enjoy the hands-on learning opportunities where they can work in small groups or individually. The Phonemic Awareness Instant Learning Centers, Lakeshore Magic Boards, Pattern Blocks Activity Cards, Classroom Magnetic Letters Kit, Magnetic Numbers & Counters will help differentiate our language and math learning stations.
I plan to use these resources for differentiation stations that are tailored to each student's learning needs and development.
My students will be able to choose these stations, which will help them continue their language, math and social development. They need these materials to be creative, interactive, and independent learners.
