My Students

I teach Biology 1 using a phenomena based approach. Most of my students are in the 10th grade. Throughout the year, my students will learn how to think critically about scientific data and participate in peer discussions and data analysis to figure out science concepts. They are inquisitive and imaginative. They are working hard as they learn science in this new way and are doing really great so far!

My Project

We use and create scientific models in each unit to show our developing understanding of science concepts. Most recently, my students have been drawing out complex models showing the process of photosynthesis. We also create notebooks where we can catalog our learning as we go through the unit. These classroom supplies will replace old or used up supplies that we have been working with. Due to budget constraints, my supplies are several years old. My students deserve to have newer basic classroom supplies. These new supplies will stay in the classroom for everyone's use.
