Last year with the help from a grant, we created an arts and crafting Makerspace in our Media Center. Our Makerspace includes all sorts of odds and ends for crafting, coloring, and painting; as well as, a Creality Ender 3 3D printer for students to express their own creative projects. Our High School Makerspace can be utilized for school projects; although, we have found that most students prefer to use the materials and space for their own personal projects and well-being.
There are many positive SEL benefits, as well as, STEAM based hands on learning afforded to our students with access to a variety of materials and types of projects that allow for creative inspiration.
Our Media Center Makerspace is a constant hub of creative activity! The materials and space are utilized on a daily basis by anywhere from 15-75+ students! With this project and your generous donation, we are looking to restock depleted materials, fulfill student special requests, and obtain needed replacement parts for our beloved 3D printer in our Media Center Makerspace.
