Help me give my students a positive learning environment by using banner paper to create house flags to be displayed outside classroom doors. As well as display exemplar student work on mirror boards on hallway bulletin boards !
Hi everyone, I am a 8th grade Health and Seminar teacher. This semester I will be teaching Seminar. Seminar is a class designed to prepare students for high school and college. Most of my students will be one of the first college graduates of their family.
What I love most about my students is seeing them become aware of their potential.
It is truly a sight to see when students are able to reflect on themselves and see the greatness within. Sometimes all they need is to be told, just once (I prefer to say it more than once ;-) ) that they can do it ! That they are capable, that we, the adults in their lives believe in them.
My Project
For some students school tends to feel like a place they have to go because their parents said they do. But what if, with the help of the students we could create an environment within the school where students could be a part of the art displayed. Where their hard work is on display for all to see, guests, teachers, parents and even classmates.
What if seeing their hard work on display was all it took to motivate them to continue with their learning and push for greater success?
The Banner On A Roll - 22" x 24 will be used by the students to create house flags. Which will be placed outside the doors of homerooms.
The Mirror Boards, Decorative Paper, Posterboard and Tissue Flower Kit, will be used as a back drop to highlight student work on bulletin boards around campus as well as to create craft projects. TDry Erase Pockets - Reusable + Oversized
The Nasco 1100424 Fine Arts Unprimed Cotton Canvas Roll and the Charmed Rainbow color tulle assortment will be used during to create seasonally themed boards. I have broken and re-bought many school staplers on my quest to promote a positive environment, needless to say the Arrow JT21 Staple Gun and VELCRO Brand - Sticky Back for Fabric will come in handy!
I would also like to securely store the items using these storage utilities, Deep Utility Organizer, Honey-Can-Do Rolling Storage Cart and Organizer with 12 Plastic Drawers and Yarn Drum.
