This is an integrated preschool classroom with students with disabilities and typically developing students, learning and growing together. My students are excited to come to school to play and learn.

Through a carefully designed classroom and professional instruction, students play their way to learning. My classroom develops the whole child, with learning opportunities to enhance students socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically. They are gaining an invaluable foundation to become successful lifelong learners.
My Project
My students need a new play kitchen set for the dramatic play area. Playing house and pretend role play are fundamental social skills in the preschool classroom, where students are immersed in practicing social skills that will be invaluable to them as they grow and learn. They can cook up learning how to play different social roles, like "mommy or daddy," heat up their communication skills by practicing speech sounds and language skills, and bake up problem solving skills by negotiating with each other to play cooperatively.
Positive social skills developed in the preschool environment create a recipe for successful learners.
