This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every child deserves a better tomorrow. Here at SP we are dedicated to helping students work towards a college degree. We are committed to closing the achievement gap by helping all students succeed, including children from minority groups and military families. We focus on project-based learning and student-centered instruction. As many of my students are undeserved, I hope to provide them with educational opportunities they may not have access to otherwise. Please help make this a successful and memorable school year for them.

My Project

My students absolutely love to code. We recently received Ozobots, which are coding robots. My students are quickly learning how to write code and use that code to accomplish tasks through these robots. It is time for us to take our coding to the next level. They are familiar with coding programs on the computer, as we have used Google and Code.org to learn coding basics. With tablets, we can combine our knowledge of programming and coding with our new coding robots. My students are eager to discover more about computer science, and I am anxious to see what they accomplish.
