My Students

My students fill me with awe. They are a group of young people who care deeply about their families and community despite the challenges associated with growing up in low-income households.

Since my students have been immersed in technology their whole lives, they excel when they use it to explore new concepts.

Our world is a rapidly-changing one and my students are learning to adapt and grow with these developments in technology. They are passionate about the future and fill me with hope for better days.

My Project

Many of my students struggle with math facts, and a lot of time and effort is spent reviewing these essential topics. Through the use of calculators, students will spend more time mastering algebra and functions instead of laboring through multiplication problems and grappling with fractions.

The graphing features of these calculators will enhance understanding of functions, inverses, and solving systems of equations by opening up the visual representations to students.

Overall these calculators will take abstract concepts and turn them visual allowing my students to get a better grasp on the mathematical concepts they will be learning.
