This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students love to learn. They enjoy singing, dancing, playing dress up, and building tall buildings with the blocks! In our classroom, we focus on learning through movement and exploration. I strive to give students the opportunity to be hands-on with their learning by using manipulatives. We learn to interact with each other through creative play. We start each morning by singing and dancing on the carpet together as a classroom family. My goal is that with your help, I will be able to provide my students will all the things that they need to learn.
My Project
Blocks provide children with a variety of skills to help them learn and grow. Building blocks of all kinds encourage social interaction, problem solving, creativity, motor skills, math concepts, spatial skills, logical thinking, and symbolic thinking.
Children love to build with a variety of materials.
Children still build amazing buildings with blocks but they can also build many things with magnetic tiles, bristle blocks, pipe builders, snap builders and so much more. Having materials like this in the classroom, invites all children to join in the fun. Many shy children gravitate to toys like this because they can build and create things on their own.
