My Students

I teach in a school that is very diverse with many different languages spoken at home. Students come to my classroom and want to learn new things every day. They want to be able to connect with each other through lessons that we are learning.

I want to build a community in the room where every voice is heard, and students can reflect and relate to what we are learning in class to their lives.

My students enjoy helping each other and being a teacher to all which not only supports their own learning but the learning of others as well.

My Project

My students are really excited about STEM. Whenever I mention the idea that we are going to build something, the motivation and excitement builds in the classroom. With these materials, students will be allowed to build their own buildings with actual wood making materials, and learn the measurements, angles and science involved with daily construction. Students will also be allowed to use clay for our daily STEM lessons by creating and forming different objects that can be used with the materials that we already have for STEM. In order to keep the learning of all lessons fresh and exciting, I hope to bring out something new and share other ideas on how STEM is in every students daily lives and is important for their futures.
