My Students

The students at Spring Prairie, Hutterite Colony School, want to learn! They are so enthusiastic about learning math, literacy skills, science and social studies. They want to be creative and expand their knowledge. The students attend German School in the mornings before they arrive at our English school. They also attend German School after school. This is an English Language Teacher's dream. They truly are learning their academics in both languages. However, the days can be long for our elementary and secondary students, so I want to offer creative and fun games for them to have when they earn free choice.

My Project

These creative games will be fun and exciting activities for all our students, grades K - 7. The students can work closely together to build innovative structures with the building games.

Our students work so hard during the school day, so having creative play materials will definitely enrich their learning.

The following educational games, Magna-Tiles, Marble Run, and the Race to the Treasure set will provide many opportunities for social and language-enriched learning. The students are learning social and academic English throughout their school day, so they can practice communicating with each other during free choice time in a natural setting.
