Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is a two part project. Some of the resources will help with our astronomy unit, and the rest will help with our Early American Civilizations unit.

Teaching little ones about astronomy can be a bit abstract, so using STEM projects to make it fun, engaging, and captivating is a must.

To help us bring the units to life, we'll make telescopes using paper towel rolls and astronomy stickers. The solar system poster set will help us better understand how the sun, stars, moon, and other planets relate to the earth during the reading. The star stickers will be used when we make constellations using marshmallows and toothpicks (which we already have). The animal figures will be used when we make dioramas, and the aquarium plants will be used when we make floating gardens during our Ancient Civilizations unit.

I can't wait to help my students bring these units to life. Thank you for supporting my students and their education.
