Help me give my students the biochemistry model sets to understand how molecules react, snacks to keep us motivated, and paper to publish our discoveries.

Are you curious about the workings of the universe? Do you wonder how the vast majority of the living world works as a cohesive system? Think of your time as a student when your teacher was able to open up the mysteries of the living world through interesting demonstrations and scientific inquiry. My students share that wonder, excitement, and curiosity in how the study of biology opens up a vast world of diversity and relationship.
I teach a highly motivated group of students who yearn to explore and are curious about all things science!
In order to help them to continue in their inquiries, I want to provide the resources that allow them to navigate complex questions through group projects and inquiry learning. By doing this we create a learning community grounded in teamwork and curiosity together where we work to be bold learners as we embrace diversity and the world that supports us all.
Hands-on teaching using models provides students the opportunity to engage with material that is often complex, abstract and often unrelatable in a tangible way. In biology, we are often faced with teaching concepts that aren't always intuitive and require the ability for students to wrestle with these concepts and derive meaning using models. Models also give students the freedom to explore new ideas and inspire risk-taking.
With these model sets, my students will be able to courageously explore how molecules that build life form, react and interact with other molecules, in order to gain a deeper understanding of how simple molecules lead complex life.
They will be able to use these sets to master these concepts and explore the microscopic world. By contributing to this project you will be supporting these eager learners and enriching their academic pursuits through the use of models!
