Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember a time when you were bullied at school? Please help us STOP bullying before it even starts by preventing it and learning about ways to deal with it.
I work with kindergarten through second grade students.
I work with students with autism and students with specific learning disabilities. About 90% of students are eligible for free or reduced lunch and close to 60% of my students are English Language earners.
My Project
These resources will change my students' lives for the better by providing my students an opportunity to learn about personal space and the bubble of space by using the bean bags chairs and listening to the books about bullying read aloud to them during circle time. We will discuss the stories about bullying and how it would make us feel if we were the character in the story. My students will also learn about their feelings and that it is okay to feel mad and angry and how to deal with these feelings.
Please help my students by contributing to an anti-bullying curriculum with materials that include books like Ant and the Big Bad Bully Goat, Back Off, Bully Boys and Don't Be a Bully, Billy.
My students are more likely to get bullied and not know how to deal with these situations but with these resources they will learn about bullying and how to deal with bullying if they should ever be in a situation.
