My Students

My classroom is a mix of students with special education needs and general education students. All of my students' needs are vast, but they love to learn and they work very hard. They want to grow as students, as well as individuals. They are a class of individuals with many different learning styles and needs.

My students are learners and they try their hardest to be the best students they can.

However, many of them have learning disabilities or speech and language delays. They learn in many different ways and have many different needs. Many of them come from low, socio-economic homes and school is their safety net. We are a Title One school where all of our students receive free lunch. It's a place where they feel safe and cared for.

My Project

We need flexible seating to use during small groups. There are many times throughout the school day where we will be away from out desks to participate in small groups. We move to various parts of our classroom or even out in the hallway. We will use these chairs during all subjects. These seats will provide a comfortable space for us to sit and concentrate on our work. They will help us be successful in English language arts, math, writing science and social studies. They will provide us with a wonderful work space.
