Help me give my students the supplies that they will need to get started with remote learning. It is important that my students have the proper supplies to help them be creative and successful learners at home.
I teach kindergarten and will have 25 students in my virtual classroom. This will be the first time in my career that I will be teaching kindergarten remotely. I want to do my best to have my students feel like they are a part of a classroom community. My students will be learning to read, write, and count, and use computers and Ipads. while some of their classmates will be experiencing school for the very first time. I want to form relationships with my students and make learning remotely a safe, and fun place to be.
Our classroom mottos whether in school or from our homes is to try your best every day, and to do the right thing even when no one is watching.
I will have students from many different cultural and economic backgrounds, I will have students that are learning to speak English and students with disabilities. But the most important thing is that all of my students have opportunities to become successful learners, and are treated respectfully.
My Project
The materials I am requesting will be sent home with all of my new kindergarten students. These are basic yet fundamental materials that my students will need to be creative and successful while learning at home. The children will be able to use the paper, crayons, glue, and markers to make crowns to go with the story The King of Kindergarten, they will use the dry erase markers to go with their dry erase boards to learn how to write letters and words.
The donations to this project will give my students the ability to become readers, writers, authors, illustrators, and to be creative.
This is a different time for all of us and making sure my students have learning tools at home is very important to me and to my students families. It is a trying time for so many and I feel the more I can supply my students with (with your donations) the less stress that will put on their families.
