My Students
The elementary students are happy and eager to learn. Art can be a nice brain break from all the writing and testing they are doing in the classroom and a nice escape from their daily lives.
Their enthusiasm is contagious.
They are such a joy to teach. Students learn about artists and their styles. They experiment with a variety of materials and techniques in 2D and 3D work, learning the elements of art as we go. I also want them to have fun while being creative.
I only see them once a week for 40 minutes and try to pack as much as I can in our year.
My Project
Students will not be coming to the art room this year. Just because I will be travelling to classrooms, doesn't mean we will stop doing fun things. All little ones love to paint. Several rooms do not have any space for wet artwork to dry due to the desk spacing requirements of the CDC.
Having one mobile drying rack on each floor of the school will allow me to bring the rack to their room.
This way available space in each room will not determine whether we get to paint or do any other messy 2D projects.
