My Students

We love to learn, and we use every moment during our day to learn.

My students are scholar; kids that are curious and full of energy for learning.

99% of the students at our school qualify for free or reduced lunch. 96% of the students are people of color. Despite the odds, we are working hard to ensure that we are college and career ready. We understand that being college and career ready means that we love to read and create, both in and out of school.

My Project

Studies have shown that alternative seating can create solid focus on content being learned. With comfortable and functional chairs, distractions would be minimized, energy could be channeled in a more appropriate manner, and learning could be significantly increased. These Wobble chairs, Bungee chairs, and stools will foster correct posture, produce ergonomic benefits, and provide mobility during science investigations/experiments.

Alternative seating helps students stay focused and engaged in learning.

These chairs will impact each student in my classroom, not just a few. They will be able to concentrate on their studies, collaborate easily with one another, and greatly reduce distractions and increase retention. Thank you for considering this project!
