My students need to experience positivity and be celebrated for their accomplishments! My students would benefit from receiving these supplies so that they may be celebrated for getting into college and pursuing their post-secondary dreams!
Living and growing up in Chicago can make for a challenging childhood. The violence, gangs, and poverty that plague our city contribute to daily challenges that young men and women face. These problems can often make access to education difficult. At my school, the Counseling Department works hard to support our students as they set goals for post-secondary education. We strive to push our students to apply and enroll in college to set them up for a positive future.
My students have worked hard to gain acceptance into colleges and universities across the nation- they deserve positive recognition.

My Project
Over the last year, the counseling department has worked tirelessly with students to help them achieve their dreams- College Admission! We want to throw our students a party to show them how proud we are of their accomplishments. We need balloons, streamers and helium tanks to provide an atmosphere that will celebrate them to the fullest. Lack of recourses has made honoring our students a challenge- and our students so much deserve positive recognition after all of their hard work.
We would like to celebrate the hard work of our Senior class by throwing a 'Decision Day' party to let our students know we are proud of their college acceptance.
On May 1st, senior students must let their college/university know about their decision of attendance. Let's celebrate the big decision! Your donation will contribute greatly to the positive mentality we hope to promote to our students. These little items will make a world of difference in our efforts.
