My Students

"Science is my favorite subject!" This statement summarizes the sentiments of my energetic, fifth-grade students. Each day, I strive to create an environment where students want to come to school and learn science and math.

TRUTH Seekers is the acronym that I use to describe my students.

It is my goal to educate the whole child and encourage them to become Thoughtful, Resourceful, Unique, Triumphant & Honest individuals.

My students truly represent the face of America. They are English Second Language Learners, resource students, and free/reduced lunch students. In addition, their families represent various cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

My Project

The use of the Snap Circuit kits will provide my students with concrete materials for our electricity unit. With the purchase of 10 kits, the students will be able to work in small groups of 3-4 students to analyze and determine the various options for constructing their own electrical circuits.

From flashing lights to adjustable volume sirens, the Snap Circuit kits provide the students with over 100 options for creating electric circuits thus improving their critical thinking and analytical skills.

Through your generous donations, 44 students will be able to engage in rigorous, hands-on, inquiry-based learning opportunities that will directly impact student achievement.
